Thyroid Eye Disease
Thyroid Eye Disease (TED), also known as Graves' ophthalmopathy, is an autoimmune condition associated with thyroid dysfunction. It causes inflammation and expansion of the orbital tissues, leading to proptosis (bulging eyes), eyelid retraction, double vision, and in severe cases, vision loss from optic nerve compression.
